This kit features the Derale 46,000 BTU stacked-plate transmission cooler and is designed as a complete, vehicle-specific solution with no need to piece together universal lines, fittings or mounting hardware. This kit also retains the factory windshield washer tank, maintaining the functionality and clean packaging of the original vehicle. The only modification necessary is cutting the factory cooler bracket, please see images. This can be accomplished easily with a grinder, Sawzall or cutoff wheel.
The "street" version is designed to retain the OEM transmission thermostat. This allows the transmission to reach proper operating temperature just as GM intended—especially important for daily-driven vehicles and cars operated in colder climates.
