High Amperage Coolant Pump Harness Upgrade
As the 09-15 CTS-V continues to age so does the electrical components. This issue is compounded with the addition of aftermarket high flow coolant pumps. This is because factory wiring harness is meant for a pump running around 6 amps of current. Most aftermarket pumps can pull over 10 amps depending on the system restriction.
What does this mean? It means you will find yourself with failing relays, blown fuses and even worse, an aftermarket coolant pump that cannot perform as it should. DMS designed a plug n play harness that utilizes heavy gauge wiring for up to 25 amps of load (fused at 15 amps standard). This harness will connect to your fuse block and ground lugs on the passenger side shock tower and will be triggered off the factory pump connector. The pump power connector is our standard 2 pin Weatherpack found on the factory harness and all of our Pierburg pump harnesses. Making this upgrade an easy install for even the lowest skill level installer.
This harness is not designed for extra high amperage pumps like the EMP or CWA400.
