Shortly after the release of the Kong 2650 we noticed a weak point in the LSA belt drive system. Underload, the upper idler bolt will yield allowing the belt to ride off the edge of the upper idler pulley resulting in belt failure. The fix was the addition of a larger upper idler bolt, increasing the bolt size from M10 to 1/2-20 resulted in over a 70% increase in yield strength. We designed this kit specifically for 10 rib kits or any car running a larger blowers, like the new Whipple, Harrop, Kong or Magnuson 2650 variants.
