C6 Automatic Transmission Cooler Kit with Fan
The Corvette 6L80E is prone to getting hot, especially with power adders or the addition of a higher stall converter. We developed this kit to be a bolt in (with minor trimming) solution to keep your transmission temps in check. This kit does maintain the OEM cooler found in the radiator. Not only will this help keep the trans in the correct temperature range, but it will help fight temps above this range. We engineered brackets, a wiring harness and premade lines to make this install a breeze. Derale is a well-known name in the transmission cooler industry, this is why we chose their 46,000 BTU, 25 row stacked plate cooler to be the main component of our kit. There are much cheaper versions out there but none of them will provide the level of cooling ability of this Hypercool unit.

This kit does require some minor trimming of the fiberglass under the headlight, brake duct and fender liner. This can be accomplished with basic hand tools. One of the transmission cooler hard lines will need to be cut, a small tubing cutter is ideal for this job, we’ve offered one as an option in case you don’t have one already. Ridgid 40617 is what we use.
