DSX LT4/LT5 Upper Idler Bracket System
Black anodizing is now standard.
This is for the LT4/LT5 enthusiasts who have wanted extra upper pulley wrap. These brackets are unique to the Camaro/V3 application vs C7.
Designed, programmed, and cut 100% under our own roof.
The first photo shows the Camaro/V3 version which simply relocates the factory upper idler and is fully compatible with our ten rib conversion.
The second photo shows the C7 version (which includes the LT5) which adds a 68mm idler to the system. You also replace the stock 90mm upper idler with one of our provided 68mm idlers. Two 68mm idlers total are included. This is also compatible with our 10-rib conversion system. If purchasing with our 10-rib conversion for the C7, please contact us so we can omit the factory LT5 idler from your conversion system and credit you. There are two options provided for the Corvette version based on your belt alignment. The standard 8-Rib and 11-Rib as well as our ±1 style 10-Rib all use the same bearing centering. If you have a +2 style 10-Rib, you should choose that option so your bearing centering stays with the belt centerline (we provide thicker backpad bushings for this instance).
Both applications have been beautifully surfaced for clearance on the back side. The bracket mounts to the water pump, replacing the three passenger side bolts near the stock idler. There are three mounting spots for the pulley so you can move the idler to better cater to available belt sizes (within reason). Belt length may change compared to your existing setup. On C7 applications, removing the lower idler by the crank pulley while adding this setup may allow you to retain your existing belt.
